Summer Opening Hours
Dear Audience!
The box office is closed from 17 to 25 August 2026!
During this period, there will be no guided tours or concerts, and the box office can only be contacted by telephone from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 1.00 pm.
Outside these dates, the box office is open in July and August from Monday to Friday between 9.00 am and 12.00 noon. The box office is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. The venue opens one hour before each performance.
From 1 September 2026, the usual opening hours will apply again.
We wish all music lovers a relaxing summer and look forward to the 2026/27 season!
Musikverein Perspektiven: Elfriede Jelinek
The life and literary work of Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek are deeply influenced by music. Inspired by this, the programme for the Musikverein Perspektiven. It features her musical favourites, music set to her texts, a series of musical and cinematic works by Olga Neuwirth, and, last but not least, recent texts being read in public for the first time. In the 2026/27 season, we will be honouring Franz Welser-Möst, Anne-Sophie Mutter, Yuja Wang and Maxime Pascal with cycles or focal points at the Musikverein.
Musikverein for Everyone
Participating in cultural life is a human right. The Musikverein takes this mission very seriously and has therefore launched several projects that invite people to concerts who would otherwise have little access to them.
